With over 5,000 colleges and universities in the U.S. it may be intimidating to find one that is right for you. There are so many factors that go into this decision, whether it be location, price, or the atmosphere on campus.
Temple University, in my opinion, is one of the best places to spend four years earning your degree! It's eccentric, diverse, and full of school spirit.
1. Located in a Major City - Philadelphia
There aren't many people who can say that they moved to a major city right after high school. Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, offers Temple students an enormous amount of opportunity to grow professionally and personally. With events and activities happening throughout the city every weekend, students will be exposed to different cultures and traditions. Not to mention, the food options in the city are phenomenal! Thousands of restaurants will deliver food right to your doorstep.

As a college student, it's important to make connections and network, which is why living in Philadelphia as a Temple Owl you will soon realize that you will run into Temple Alumni all the time. Apply to great internships that are just a subway ride away to gain experience and help you land your dream job after college.

2. The Gorgeous Campus
In the summer of 2017, some major changes came to Temple University's already beautiful campus. With the addition of a new, bronze owl statue and a brand new open space with seating, who couldn't love this campus? The best thing about the campus is that it doesn't feel like you are in the city. With gorgeous leaves in the fall and luscious grass to sit on during the spring semester on Beury Beach, students fall in love with their new home.

3. Intense School Spirit
Make sure to get some cherry and white gear for those crazy football tailgates during the fall semester! Temple students go all out for homecoming and tailgates. You'll never see the student section at Lincoln Field empty, no matter how cold it gets.

Every Friday, make sure to rep your cherry and white to show off that you're a Temple Owl and that you love your school.

4. Fantastic Food Options
With so many restaurants and food trucks on campus, you'll never go hungry! You may never even cook during your four years at Temple with so many options. With a great deal of food trucks on campus, you can grab a quick bite to eat between classes. Cecil B. Moore is home to some chain restaurants, but the best breakfast spot on campus, Champs Diner, is there too. For those mornings after a night of wild partying, this is the place to be.

Let's not forget the food that is included in your meal plan though. The Student Activity Center, otherwise known as the SAC, was recently renovated and now houses the famous Chik-fil-A and a Starbucks. Morgan Hall offers Tony Luke's cheesesteaks, an all you can eat buffet, and Mongolian food. There are so many options, you'll be overwhelmed!

5. Classes to Keep Your Attention
Students typically dread taking required general education classes, which is why Temple professors have included some pretty interesting and enjoyable classes for you. If you want to be a wine connoisseur, try taking the Chemistry of Wine class and find out how wine is made and what makes a good wine, well good. Hundreds of classes are offered, so make sure to take advantage of some different ones. Who knows, you may discover something you're really interested in!
